Is your home warm and dry enough?

We all want our homes to be warm and dry. Our houses should be heated to at least 18 degrees and below 65% relative humidity most of the time - but how do we find out if that’s the case?

To assess the temperature and relative humidity in your house, try using a simple, low-cost hygrometer.

A hygrometer is a small, inexpensive device that measures temperature and the amount of moisture in the air in your home.

Use a hygrometer in different rooms, especially in winter, and take readings over a few days or weeks to find out where you might need to address dampness issues.
